WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Gerald E. Tanner Sr., 65, Redondo Beach, Calif., father of Jason Tanner, manager of the Northside Key Bank, died Oct. 23.

Born July 23, 1944, in Long Beach, Calif., a son of Clyde E. and Frances A. Ienna Tanner, he graduated from Aviation High School in Redondo Beach, Calif. 

He owned and operated Tanner Construction in Redondo Beach. 

Jerry enjoyed deep sea fishing, boating and his family. 

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gerald E., Jr., Redondo Beach, Calif., and Jason A. and Jocelyn, Watertown; two brothers, John A. Morvant, Laguna Hills, Calif., and George W. Morvant, Redondo Beach, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Jacob A. Rutgliano, Jonathan M. Tanner and Joshua A. Tanner, all of Watertown. 

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Kirk Gilcrest officiating. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
