WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Gary E. McCargar, 66, of LeRay Street, died Friday, Nov. 2, at his home.

Mr. McCargar was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Watertown, a son of Clifton E. and Norma Adsit McCargar. 

He worked odd jobs in the Watertown area until his retirement.

Surviving are his step mother, Beverly, Watertown; three sisters, Mary Myers and her companion, Raymond Roshia, Barbara and David Wilder, Patricia Brown, all of Watertown; a half sister, Maryellen Last, Parish; five brothers, Ronald McCargar, Parish, Michael and Patricia McCargar, Sackets Harbor, Donald McCargar, Sackets Harbor, Jeffery McCargar, Watertown, James and Tammy McCargar, Depauville; and many nieces nephews. 

A brother, David, died in 1980.

There will be a graveside service 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in Dexter Cemetery. 

There are no calling hours or funeral.
