— Charles J. Demiceli, 65, of 509 Dimmick
St. passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, at his home.
Born May 30, 1947, in
Watertown, a son of Jerome and Muriel Snyder Demiceli, he
graduated in 1964 from Watertown High School and soon after
enlisted in the Army.
He married Yvonne Antonelli on July 22, 1978, at Our Lady of
the Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Benoit Dostie officiating.
In 1989 Mr. Demiceli retired from the New York Air Brake as
a pattern maker after twenty eight years of service. In the
mid to late 1980s he was the president of the International
Molders and Foundry Workers Union of North America.
He was an aquarium enthusiast, enjoyed music and spending
time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Most of all, he was an avid New York Giants fan.
Surviving besides his wife are a son and his fiancé,
Anthony Demiceli and Bridget Bishop, Watertown; a daughter
and her companion, Adrienne Demiceli and Jason Clark,
Watertown; a brother, Richard Vautrin, LaFargeville; two
sisters, JoAnne Kiss, Clifton Park, N.J., and Kelly Scee,
Watertown; four grandchildren, Seth Demiceli, Michael
Demiceli, Silas Clark and Zoey Demiceli; several nieces,
nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at D.L.
Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will follow at
7 p.m. with Reverend Toby Schilling officiating.
