WATERTOWN, N.Y.
— Ethel L. Mortellaro Kellner, 88, of Skyline
Apartments, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, at Samaritan
Medical Center.
Born Dec. 24, 1924, in
Central Islip, Long Island, a daughter of Halsted B. and
Mable M. Howes Barber, she attended schools in
Brooklyn.
She married Benny Mortellaro on Nov. 22, 1947. The marriage
ended in divorce. Leland Kellner was her long time companion
until his death on Sept. 24, 1994.
Ethel enjoyed crossword puzzles, bingo and playing cards
with friends and family.
She most enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Anthony F.
and Sally Mortellaro, Adams Center, LeLand K. Kellner,
Adams, Carlisle W. Kellner, Clarksville, Tenn.; three
daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane and Mark Roshia,
Theresa, Glena Tyska, Watertown, Ruth and Arthur Miney,
Toney, Ala.; a sister and her husband, Joan Marie and Ernest
Dozier, Joelton, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by several siblings.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, at D.L.
Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held 11
a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the funeral home with Rev. Leon
Schilling. Burial will be in North Watertown Cemetery in the
spring.
