WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Daniel E. Alden, 55, Northland Estates, Watertown, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012, at his home. 

A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Holy Family Church with Rev. Steven Murray officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery.

Born March 22, 1957, in Utica, son of John D. and Elizabeth J. Loftis Alden, he graduated in 1976 from Watertown High School. 

He was a long-time employee of Halley Electric as an appliance repair technician and later worked at Sears. 

He was an avid skier, and also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Besides his mother, of Watertown, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer L. Alden and her fiancé, Patrick Vincent, Watertown; a son, Eric R. Alden, Adams Center; a grandson, Nolan Vincent; four siblings, Michael P. and Donna Alden, Henderson, Nancy M. Cleary and Christine A. and Gary Hibbard, all of Glen Park, and Paul T. Alden, Ogdensburg; and several nieces and nephews. 

His father died before him.
