ANTWERP, N.Y.  —  Kenneth J. "Kenny" Taylor, 55, of 31 VanBuren St., Antwerp, passed Feb. 2, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life with military honors will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, 117 N. Massey St., Watertown. Calling hours will precede the service from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home.

Born Sept. 14, 1961, in Newport Beach, CA, the son of Kenneth T. and Joann E. (Witt) Taylor, he attended school in Modesto, CA. 

Following school he entered the United States Marines on Oct. 3, 1980, in Fresno, CA, and served until July 4, 1983. He continued serving in the reserves until he was honorably discharged as a lance corporal officer on Sept. 17, 1986, in Camp Pendleton, CA.

While in California he met Gina M. Coffin and they married on May 5, 1984, in Riverside, CA.  While residing in California Kenny worked with his father who owned and operated “Taylor Hoof Trimming” for several years.  

In 1994 the couple moved to Antwerp, NY where Gina became a teacher at Gouverneur Central School and he was a car salesman. For the last fourteen years Kenny was employed by F.X. Caprara Trailer Sales and F.X. Caprara Harley Davidson.

Kenny was an outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, four wheeling, boating, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and drag racing at the ESTA Dragstrip in Cicero and the surrounding area. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and the Antwerp American Legion Post #916.

Among his survivors are his loving wife of 32 years Gina M. Taylor, Antwerp; his beloved daughter and son in law, Sarah E. and Seth A. Musikant, Rochester; his mother Joann VanBoven, Escalon, CA.; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra L. and Kevin Brinkman, Salida, CA; a sister Jennifer Johnson, Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; 5 stepbrothers and 2 stepsisters; his faithful friend and companion, grand puppy Captain, and several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kenny was predeceased by his father Kenneth T. Taylor of Norco, CA.
