James W.
Robbins, 78, of Route 180, Dexter, NY, passed away
Thursday, April 13, at his home with his family by his
side.
Born Oct. 28, 1938, in Dexter, the son of Roswell and
Mildred Fluery Robbins, he graduated from Dexter High
School.
James married Agnes R. Raymond on Oct. 21, 1960, at the
Dexter United Methodist Church Parsonage. The couple lived
in Dexter and moved to Limerick several years ago.
Jim worked as a mechanic for the New York State DOT until
his retirement. He liked working on old cars and was an
avid hunter.
Surviving are his wife Agnes; two daughters and their
husbands, Theresa and Linden Mehaffy of Dexter, and Dawn
and Guy Tefft of Dexter; a son, James Jr. of Portland,
Oregon; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and
a sister, Betty and Dewey Kirch of Carthage.
He was predeceased by a sister Dorothy Austin.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18,
at Three Mile Bay Baptist Church with Pastor King
officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. There are
no calling hours.
