Darren J. Baker, 29, of 639 Mundy St. lower apt., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:29 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at 21000 Route 3 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was released after posting $500 police bail. He is accused of causing damage to a passenger side window on a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta belonging to Jacob J. Tarynor, 25, at about 5:02 a.m. Aug. 7 at 639 Mundy St., according to court documents. Mr. Baker was additionally charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. Police allege he sent several threatening messages to Mr. Traynor through Facebook Messenger at about 6:01 a.m. Aug. 7. “Come on bro I’m killing you haha. I told you never to cross me haha I’ll own you life,” according to court documents. He is summoned to appear Aug. 15 in City Court.
Anamaria A.E. Neujean, 23, of 710 State St., Apt. 5, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:03 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at 22529 Route 12F with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. She is accused of damaging a 1999 Honda Accord belonging to Matthew Beanch when she destroyed the windshield, dented the hood and driver’s side door by hitting it with a stool during a domestic incident at about 2:20 p.m. Thursday at 710 State St., police said. She was being held pending arraignment Friday morning in City Court.
Christopher J. Bartlett, 49, of 126 Winslow St., Apt. 2, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at his residence with second-degree criminal contempt. He is accused of violating the terms of an order of protection when he was at the home of and in the presence of the protected party, Dawn Ayles, 63, Watertown, at about 6:47 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at 126 Winslow St., Apt. 2, police said. He was being held pending arraignment Friday morning in City Court.
Bruce I. Kraeger, 28, of 3168 Route 26, Constrableville, was arrested at 10:24 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on a bench warrant, according to the Watertown Police Department. He was being held pending arraignment Friday morning in City Court.

On August 8, 2018, at approximately 9:02 p.m., State Police responded to a residence on Northwoods Road in the town of Canton for a report of a menacing with a knife. An investigation revealed that a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old juvenile menaced two subjects with pocket knives at that address. The 16-year-old was charged with two counts of second-degree menacing and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The 17-year-old was charged with one count of second-degree menacing and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The juveniles were arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court where they were released on the own recognizance, to reappear in Canton Town Court at a later date. An order of protection has been issued.
On August 9, 2018, State Police arrested Justin A. Square, 22, of Hogansburg, subsequent to the issuance of an arrest warrant from the Town of North Elba Court for the incident which occurred on July 31 on State Route 86 in the town of North Elba. On that date, State Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Square was in operation of. Square then led police on a pursuit into the village of Saranac Lake where a Saranac Lake Police patrol vehicle was damaged. Square then fled on foot and could not be located. Square is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and he was also issued tickets for numerous vehicle and traffic violations, including second-degree aggravated unauthorized operation for having a suspended license. Square was arraigned in the Town of North Elba Court on all charges from both State Police and the Saranac Lake Police Department. He was remanded to the Essex County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. State Police were assisted by the St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police.
