Dale C. Groff, 43, homeless, was charged by Watertown police at 3:41 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at 222 N. Massey St. wit third-degree criminal trespass. He is accused of entering Colonial Laundromat, 222 N. Massey St., at about 3:37 a.m. Wednesday while knowing he is permanently banned from the premises by the owner of establishment by an affidavit signed May 9, according to court document. He was being held on $250 police bail pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.
Cervontes-Cortez P. Hardy, 19, of 657 Olive St., apt. 3, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at 1204 Superior St. with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. Mr. Hardy allegedly possessed an imitation pistol with the intent to use it unlawfully against another person at about 7:24 p.m. Tuesday at 1204 Superior St., Apt. H9, according to court documents. Police said he was previously convicted of a crime on Sept. 21, 2017. Ryan A. Barbosa, 23, of 1204 Superior St., Apt. H9, was charged at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at his residence with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. Mr. Barbosa is accused of possessing a steak knife with the inter to use against another person at about 7:24 p.m. Tuesday at 1204 Superior St., according to court documents. Police said he was previously convicted of a crime on April 27, 2018. He was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, for allegedly possessing 15.41 ounces of marijuana in his bedroom, police said. Both men were being held pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.
Matthew C. Bush, 20, of 6185 Blue St., Glenfield, was charged by Watertown police at 12:51 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with first-degree possession of a forged instrument, a felony. He is accused of using two fake one hundred dollar bills to try to purchase two computer monitors from Chana Fay at about 5:40 p.m. May 21 at McDonald’s, 924 Arsenal St., according to court documents. He was being held pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.
Shyquest K. Powell, 17, of 616 Lodi St., and Sosa Stroman, 17, of 205 Herkimer St., both of Syracuse, were each charged by Watertown police at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at 21000 Route 3, town of Watertown, with petit larceny. They are each accused of exiting Herb Philipson’s, 1283 Arsenal St., at about 2:02 p.m. Tuesday without paying for $154.96 worth of merchandise, police said. They were both being held pending arraignment Tuesday evening in City Court.
Sean L. Lawwill, 32, of 865 LeRay St., upper apt., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with third-degree burglary, a felony, fourth-degree arson, a misdemeanor, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny. He is accused of unlawfully entering a garage at 531 Mill St. owned by Gary W. Currier, Calcium, took a chainsaw out of the garage, stole gas from the chainsaw, poured it onto a brush pile and started a fire at about 10:36 a.m. Tuesday, according to court documents. He was being held pending arraignment Tuesday evening in City Court.
Charles E. LaValley, 68, of 113 W. Main St., Apt. 308, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:42 p.m. Monday, June 4, at his residence with second-degree criminal contempt. He is accused of violating the terms of a Family Court order of protection when he went to the residence of the protected party, Claude A.E. Smith, 64, of 142 Mechanic St., and delivered a note to him at about 3:30 p.m. May 27, according to court documents. Mr. LaValley awaits prosecution in City Court.
Jacob A. Clarke, 32, of 22568 Eacho Dr., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:06 a.m. Monday, June 4, at his residence with petit larceny. He is accused of exiting Tops grocery store, 1330 Washington St., without paying for $14.07 worth of merchandise. He is summoned to appear June 18 in City Court.
Duane A. Aurich, 25, of 25048 Cooper Ave., Calcium, was charged by Watertown police at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at his residence with unlawfully dealing with fireworks in connection with a incident on April 27 in Watertown. He is summoned to appear June 8 in City Court.

Craig A. Wireman, 48, of 31207 Percy Chicks Dr., Black River, was charged Tuesday morning, June 5, by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies with second-degree menacing and harassment. He is accused of sitting on Jill L. Wireman at approximately 8 a.m. Tuesday and attempted to remove her wedding ring, deputies said. He also allegedly pointed a BB gun at her head, pulled the trigger but no projectile was discharged at about 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 4, at his home, according to court documents. He was arraigned in Rutland Town Court.
