FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 12/16/09, Amanda L. Wiedenbeck, 19, of 7 Vinette Road, Central Square, NY, was operating a 2004 Cadillac suburban westbound on East River Road in the Town of Hastings at 11:19 p.m. when she reportedly struck a utility pole 300 feet east of Vinette Road, then left the scene. Ms. Wiedenbeck was located at her residence and ticketed for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. Slippery pavement appears to have been a contributing factor with roads reportedly covered with snow and ice at the time of the incident, deputies said.

On 12/17/09 at 12:58 a.m., Christopher J. Griffin, 47, of 57 Third Ave., Oswego, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Crossed Hazardous Road Markings, stemming from a one-car accident that occurred on SR 3 in the Town of Palermo where he reportedly lost control of the 2000 Ford suburban he was driving, causing the vehicle to slide off the south side of the roadway traveling through a yard at 3774 SR 3 sideways before coming to rest facing north. The incident occurred 5/10 of a mile southwest of CR 264. Mr. Griffin was arraigned before the Hon. James Aluzzi, Town of Granby Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to appear before Town of Palermo Court on 12/21/09 to answer the charges.   

On 12/17/09 at12:03 p.m., Zachary F. Jackson, 47, of 118 Stock Rd., Hannibal, NY, was arrested for Making a Terroristic Threat, a class D felony, stemming from an incident that occurred on 11/23/09 when he reportedly made a bomb threat by phone involving the Oswego County Department of Social Services building in Mexico. Mr. Jackson was arraigned before the Hon. Kenneth Adkins, Town of Scriba Court, and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Granby Court on 12/21/09. 

On 12/17/09 at 5:30 p.m., Mark A. Roberts, 31, of 681 CR 54, Apt. 97, Pennellville, NY, was arrested for Burglary, Third Degree, a class D felony; Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor; and Conspiracy, Fifth Degree, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from his participation in the unlawful entry to a Town of Granby storage building and theft of property from within, on or about 12/07/09. Mr. Roberts was further charged with additional charges of Burglary, Third Degree; Petit Larceny; and Conspiracy, Fifth Degree, stemming from his participation in the unlawful entry to a Town of Granby business on or about 12/09/09 from which property was removed including tires, lights, and a floor jack. Mr. Roberts was arraigned on all charges before the Hon. Alan Williams, Town of Minetto Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond.  He is scheduled to appear before Town of Granby Court on 12/21/09 to answer all charges. Investigation into both incidents remains open at this time. 


THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 12/16/09 at 8:10 a.m., Marty A. Davis, 25, 34 Rust Memorial Dr., Hastings, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor following the investigation into an incident which occurred at a Town of Hastings residence in which he allegedly slapped an individual in the face with his hand leaving red marks on the left side of the face and eye. Mr. Davis was issued an appearance ticket, returnable to the Town of Hastings Court on 1/4/10. 


WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 12/15/09 at 8:15 a.m., Joseph A. Boris, 44, of PO Box 551, Vernon, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree, and No Valid Inspection Certificate, following a traffic stop in the Village of Central Square after Mr. Boris reportedly pulled out of a business onto SR 49 into the path of an eastbound unmarked patrol unit. Mr. Boris was released on tickets returnable to Village of Central Square Court on 1/16/10. 

On 12/15/09 at 3:35 p.m., a 15 year old male residing in the Town of Palermo was issued Family Court Appearance Tickets for acts, which if committed by an adult, would have constituted the crimes of Sexual Abuse, First Degree, two counts, a class D felony, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor. The youth is accused of subjecting two females under the age of 11 to sexual contact on two separate dates during 2009. 

On 12/15/09 at 4:28 p.m., Brandon D. Conway, 21, of 110 Bardeen Road, Hastings, was arrested at the Oswego County Correctional Facility for five counts of Petit Larceny and four counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Fifth Degree, both class A misdemeanors, stemming from the investigation into several larcenies from vehicles committed in the Town of Hastings from October through November 2009. Mr. Conway was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Hastings Court on 1/11/09. 


TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 12/12/09 at 5:23 a.m., Joseph E. Williams, 35, of Leitch St. Bldg# 102 Apt. #2, Fulton, was arrested for AUO, 3rd degree following the investigation into a one vehicle mva which reportedly occurred on SR 3 in the Town of Granby where he lost control going off the right side of the roadway and flipped after going into the ditch before coming to rest on the driver’s side, due to slippery pavement. Mr. Williams was released on a UTT, returnable to Town of Granby Court on 12/28/09. 

On 12/13/09 at 12:30 p.m., Jennifer L. O’Connor, 23, of 75 Eisenhower Ave., Oswego, was arrested for AUO, 3rd degree and Operating a MV w/o Inspection Certificate resulting from the investigation into a one vehicle mva which reportedly occurred on SR 48 in the Town of Minetto after she allegedly lost control due to icy road conditions.  Ms. O’Connor was issued UTT’s, returnable to the T/O Minetto Court on 1/14/10. 

On 12/14/09 at 1:30 p.m., Coby A. Baitsell, 59, of 104 Whittemore Rd., Oswego, NY was arrested for Criminal Possession of Marihuana, First Degree, a class C felony and Unlawful Growing of Cannabis following the investigation during the month of September from a Marihuana Growing Investigation conducted by multi agencies where he was allegedly found to be in possession of 94 marihuana plants growing inside and outside a residence weighing more than 10 lbs, in the Town of Scriba.  Mr. Baitsell was arraigned in the T/O Scriba Court by Hon. Judge Adkins and ROR’d with a return to court date of 12/17/09. 

On 12/14/09, a 16 year old male residing in the City of Fulton was arrested at 1:19 p.m. based on a Family Court Warrant issued by the Hon. Judge Seager. He was arraigned in front of Hon. Judge Seager and remanded to a non-secure facility with a return to Oswego County Family Court on 12/15/09. 

On 12/14/09 at 5:00 p.m., Mark A. Hier, 44, of 52 South Jefferson St., Mexico, was arrested for Criminal Possession of Marihuana, First Degree, a class C felony and Unlawful Growing of Cannabis resulting from the investigation during the month of September from a Marihuana Growing Investigation conducted by multiple agencies where he was allegedly found to be in possession of 6 marihuana plants weighing more than 10 lbs., at a residence in the Town of Albion.  Mr. Hier was arraigned in the Town of Albion Court and ROR’d with a return to court date of 1/4/10. 

On 12/14/09 at 6:30 p.m., Lisa Shoop, 21, of 2661 SR 69, Parish, was arrested based on a bench warrant issued by the Town of Mexico Court charging her with AUO, 3rd degree. Ms. Shoop was arraigned in the Town of Mexico Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200.00 cash or $400.00 bond with a return to T/O Mexico Court on 12/15/09. 

On 12/14/09, Nicholas K. Arnold, 19, of CR 45 Bldg# 1661, Fulton, was arrested at 4:12 p.m. for Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, both violations following an incident which reportedly occurred at an public establishment in the Village of Mexico where he was yelling obscene words.  Mr. Arnold was arraigned in the Town of Mexico Court and ROR’d with a return to court date of 1/12/10. 

On 12/14/09 at 9:13 p.m., Kenneth J. Carlin, 37, of 4074 SR 3, Fulton, was arrested for DWI and No License after the investigation into an incident where he was reportedly observed leaving a Town of Palermo establishment in his vehicle. Mr. Carlin was arraigned in the Town of Palermo Court and ROR’d with a return to court date of 12/21/09. 

On 12/14/09 at 5:27 a.m., Gary Butchino, 31, of 5217 Log London Rd., Mannsville, was arrested for AUO, 2nd degree( suspended 3 on 1 date for refusing a chemical test) following a traffic stop on SR 3 in the Town of Mexico. Mr. Butchino was released on a UTT, returnable to the T/O Mexico Court on 1/6/10. 

On 12/15/09, Adam J. Mulcahey, 31, of 27 Deer Track Lane, Constantia, NY was arrested at 1:24 a.m. for DWI; Aggravated DWI; Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and Crossing Road Hazard Markings following the investigation into a mva on CR 4 in the Town of Scriba. Mr. Mulcahey was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court by Hon. Judge Adkins and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250.00 cash or $1000.00 bond with a return to court date of 1/7/10. 
 

MONDAY, DECEMBER 14, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 12/09/09, John C. Steele, 19, of 159 CR 64, Mexico, was operating a 2006 Ford westbound on SR 104 in the Town of Scriba at 5:44 p.m., when he collided with the right rear side of a westbound 1999 Pontiac driven by Traci M. Hoy, 20, of 458 CR 29, Oswego. The incident occurred 400 feet west of CR 51A when Mr. Steele was unable to stop after Ms. Hoy came to a complete stop after reportedly turning on her left signal light but not within 100 feet of her turn. The impact caused Ms. Hoy to swerve off the north side of the roadway and Mr. Steele to continue off the roadway through the snow before coming to rest after striking a rock prior to the driveway at 5258 SR 104. Ms. Hoy was ticketed for Failed to use Signal Lamps and Unlicensed Operator. Mr. Steele was ticketed for Following Too Closely.  Turning improperly and slippery pavement appear to have been additional contributing factors to the incident. Road conditions were reportedly wet from rain at the time. 

On 12/11/09 at 3:45 a.m., Robert T. Demers, 32, of 237 Buckbrook Rd., Clare Russell, NY, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, after the marijuana was discovered in his truck during an unrelated investigation in the Town of Mexico.  Mr. Demers was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Mexico Court on 12/22/09. 

On 12/11/09 at 8:17 a.m., Sandra J. Criswell, 50, of 613 West Third Street South, Fulton, was charged with Operation While Registration Suspended, following a traffic stop on SR 48 in the Town of Granby, after a License Plate Reader targeted her vehicle.  Ms. Criswell was issued a ticket returnable to Town of Granby Court on 12/28/09 and released to a third party.   

On 12/11/09 at 12:20 p.m., a 13 year old male residing in Williamstown, NY, was issued a Family Court appearance ticket for a charge, which if committed by an adult, would constitute the crime of Criminal Sex Act, First Degree, a class B felony. The youth is accused of engaging sexual contact with a child less than 11 year old during the summer of 2009 while at a Town of Williamstown address.   

On 12/11/09 at 2:53 p.m., Jordan J. Brancato, 22, of 13 Pierce Drive, Fulton, was arrested for Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from his participation in the theft of a Racemaster trailer from a Town of Volney business on or about 12/09/09.  Mr. Brancato was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Volney Court on 12/21/09. Mr. Brancato was also charged with Burglary, Third Degree, a class D felony; Petit Larceny, and Conspiracy, Fifth Degree, both class A misdemeanors, stemming from his participation in the entry to and theft of tires, a car jack, and a tri-pod lamp from a Town of Granby business on or about 12/09/09. Mr. Brancato was arraigned on these charges before the Hon. Bruce Wells, Town of Granby Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Granby Court on 12/14/09.  Investigation into this burglary remains active. Further investigation led to Mr. Brancato’s arrest for Burglary, Third Degree; Petit Larceny; and Conspiracy, Fifth Degree, for his participation in the entry to a Town of Granby storage building on or about 12/6/09 from which property was removed. Mr. Brancato was arraigned on these charges before Town of Granby Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond.  He is scheduled to return to court on 12/14/09. This matter remains under investigation at this time. 

On 12/11/09 at 6:30 p.m., Donna Brosnan, 53, of 84 Lakeshore Road, Pulaski, was charged with Operation While Registration Suspended, Inadequate Mirrors (no rearview mirror attached to windshield), and Failure to Notify Commission of Motor Vehicle of Change of Address, stemming from the investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred on CR 15 in the Town of Sandy Creek on 12/10/09 where her vehicle was found off the road in a ditch. Ms. Brosnan is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Sandy Creek Court on 1/14/10. 

On 12/11/09 at 9:18 p.m., Melissa A. Warren, 27, of 2169 CR 12, Central Square, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (license suspended for 2 on 3/14/09 Failure to answer a summons in the Town of Cicero, 3 on 12/04/08 failure to answer a summons in the Town of Cicero, 1 on 1/18/2007 failure to answer a summons in the Town of Hastings, 2 on 1/18/2007 failure to answer a summons in the Village of Central Square, and 2 on 11/30/2006 failure to answer a summons in the Town of Hastings), and Insufficent Lighting, stemming from a traffic stop after her vehicle was observed being driven eastbound on East Avenue in the Village of Central Square with an inoperable passenger side headlight.  Ms. Warren was issued tickets returnable to Village of Central Square Court on 1/06/10. 

On 12/12/09 at 12:28 a.m., Ricke P. Greenier, 35, of 7983 Broadway Road, Wolcott, NY, was arrested based on a bench warrant issued by the Hon. John Elliott, Oswego County Surrogate Court, charging him with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Fourth Degree, a class A misdemeanor.  Mr. Greenier is currently being held without bail at the Oswego County Correctional Facility awaiting an appearance before Judge Elliott on 12/14/09. 

On 12/12/09 at 8:48 a.m., John C. Sixberry, Jr., 29, of 131 S. 6th St., Fulton, was arrested at the Oswego County Correctional Facility based on a Violation of Probation Warrant.  Mr. Sixberry was arraigned before Town of Mexico Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond.  He is scheduled to return to court on 12/29/09. 

On 12/12/09, Stephen R. Randall, Sr., 36, of 278 Cable Road, Williamstown, was operating an Arctic Cat snowmobile on the shoulder of the road off his property and as he came to the end of the property line, he reportedly made a U-turn in front of a 1994 Lincoln driven by Scott E. Sweeting, 21, of 122 CR 17A, Williamstown, NY.  Mr. Sweeting was traveling westbound on Cable Road in the Town of Amboy at the time of the incident, which occurred 2/10 of a mile west of Frank Bryant Road.  Mr. Sweeting was unable to stop in time and collided with the snowmobile.  Mr. Randall was transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.  Turning improperly appears to have been a contributing factor in the incident.   

On 12/12/09 at 9:48 p.m., Danielle A. Weir, 20, of 451 CR 11, #1, West Monroe, New York, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (suspended on 12/9/2009 for failure to answer a summons in the Town of Onondaga), and Insufficient Lighting, following a traffic stop on SR 49 in the Town of West Monroe after she was observed driving a vehicle with only one working headlight.  Ms. Weir was released on tickets returnable to town of West Monroe Court on 1/04/10. 

On 12/13/09 at 11:04 p.m., a 14 year old female residing in the Town of Hastings, was issued a Juvenile Appearance Ticket stemming from charges, which if committed by an adult, would have constituted the crimes of Petit Larceny and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class A misdemeanors. The girl is accused of stealing a cell phone and of taking a picture of a minor who was only dressed in underwear.
