FRIDAY, MARCH 4, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 3/3/11 at 11:00 a.m., a 13 year old male and his parent residing in the Town of Palermo were issued a Family Court Appearance Ticket for charges, which if charged as an adult would constitute the charges of Criminal Sex Act, a class B felony and Endangering the Welfare of a Child stemming from the investigation into an incident which took place at a Town of Palermo residence where he allegedly engaged in mouth to penis contact with an individual less than eleven years of age.  The male and his parent were referred to Oswego County Probation for submission to Family Court. 

On 3/3/11 at 7:25 p.m., Brian K. Fellows, 46, of 59 White Rd., Parish, was arrested for AUO, third-degree following a traffic stop on SR 3 in the Town of Volney.  Mr. Fellows was issued a UTT, returnable to the T/O Volney Court on 3/21/11. 

On 3/3/11 at 11:36 p.m., Justin A. Sushereba, 22, of Denesha Place Bldg. 5, Fulton, was arrested for Petit Larceny following an incident at a Town of Granby business where he allegedly stole a license plate lamp and electrical wires.  Mr. Sushereba was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the T/O Granby Court on 3/14/11. 


THURSDAY, MARCH 3, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 2/25/11 at 1:37 p.m., Wendy L. Kohut, 41, of 15 Tupelo Drive, Oswego, was operating a 2007 Chrysler suburban south on SR 104, 200 ft. south of SR 104A, in the Town of Oswego when she reportedly lost control on the snow covered roadway, striking a snow embankment on the west side of the road before crossing the center line due to not being able to regain control of the vehicle and collided with a 2002 Jeep being operated by Amy V. Mikels, 32, of 1795 Plank Rd., Webster. Ms. Mikels was taken by ambulance to Oswego Hospital. 

On 3/2/11 at 3:22 p.m., David R. Tuzinski, 44, of 386 Gifford Rd., Hannibal, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment, second-degree stemming from a domestic dispute at a Town of Hannibal residence where he allegedly punched an individual in the face during an altercation. Mr. Tuzinski was arraigned in the Town of Hannibal Court by Hon. Judge Hafner and remanded to the OCJ in lieu of $500.00 cash/bond with a return to court date of 3/8/11. 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 2/28/11 at 11:47 a.m., Michael E. Shoults Jr., 29, of 1835 CR 8, Fulton, was arrested in the OCJ for Petit Larceny following a yearlong combined investigation with the Fulton Police Department and the New York State Police in which he allegedly stole tools from a Town of Granby residence in January 2010.  Mr. Shoults was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to T/O Granby Court on 3/14/11.

Also at this time he was arrested for Burglary, 3rd degree, a class D felony and Grand Larceny, 4th degree, a class E felony stemming from an incident that occurred in the Town of Minetto in September 2010 where he allegedly stole copper tubing from a business in Minetto after breaking into a shed.  Mr. Shoults was arraigned in the Town of Hannibal Court by Hon. Judge Lewis and remanded to the OCJ in lieu of $2500 cash or $5000.00 bond with a return to Town of Minetto Court on 4/7/11.

And Burglary, 2nd degree, a class C felony from an incident that took place in the Town of Hannibal in February 2010 where he allegedly stole prescription drugs from a residence.  He was arraigned in T/O Hannibal Court and remanded to the OCJ in lieu of $2500.00 cash or $5000.00 bond with a return to court date of 4/26/11.

For another incident that took place in the T/O Hannibal, Mr. Shoults was arrested for Burglary, 2nd degree, a class C felony and Grand Larceny, 4th degree, a class E felony for allegedly stealing firearms from a residence.  He was arraigned in Hannibal Town Court and remanded to the OCJ in lieu of $2500.00 cash or $5000.00 bond with a return to court on 4/26/11. 

On 2/28/11 at 1:16 p.m., Christa L. Pobutkiewicz, 24, of 105 E Ninth St., Oswego, NY was arrested for AUO, 3rd degree (suspended on 2/27/11 in T/O Clay for Failure to Pay Fine and on 1/4/11 for Failure to Pay Driver Responsibility Assessment) and Operating a MV w/o Inspection Certificate following a traffic stop on CR 8 in the Town of Granby.  Ms. Pobutkiewicz was released on UTT’s, returnable to the T/O Granby Court on 3/7/11. 

TUESDAY, MARCH 1, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 2/28/11 at 6:33 a.m., Aubrey F. Smith, 27, of 80 Owasco St., Auburn, was arrested at the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office in Cato based on a bench warrant issued out of the Town of Hannibal Court. Ms. Smith was arraigned before Hon. Judge Hafner in the Town of Hannibal Court and released after she paid the fine. 

On 2/28/11 at 4:26 p.m., Christopher L. Larson, 25, of 806 County Route 54, Pennellville, was arrested for Criminal Mischief, fourth-degree, a class A misdemeanor following an incident at a residence in the Town of Schroeppel where he allegedly broke a cell phone during an argument with the victim. Mr. Larson was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the T/O Schroeppel Court on 3/28/11. 

On 2/28/11 at 7:43 p.m., Darren R. Denny, 27, of Keller Bldg. 8, Central Square, was arrested at the Public Safety Building in Oswego for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, fourth-degree, a class C felony following the investigation into an incident at the Probation Department where he allegedly tested positive for cocaine. Mr. Denny was arraigned in the Scriba Town Court and remanded to the OCJ without bail with a return to court date of 3/1/11. 

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 28, MEDIA RELEASE:

On 2/21/11, Kathleen M. Barrie, 52, of 237 CR 14, Fulton, NY, was operating a 2005 Chevrolet eastbound on South Granby Road in the Town of Granby at 1:26 p.m. when she reportedly stopped at the stop sign intersection at SR 48, then pulled in front of a 1999 Subaru traveling southbound on SR 48 and driven by David R. Wyman, 24, of 29 Birch Lane, Apt. 22D, Oswego, NY. The incident reportedly occurred as Ms. Barrie was attempting to make a left turn. Mr. Wyman and his passengers, Helen L. Wyman, 22; Scarlett E. Wyman, infant; Alice L. Burnett, 56, were each transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.  Another passenger in the Wyman vehicle, George E. Bennett, 55, was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. Ms. Barrie was ticketed for Failure to Yield the Way at a Stop Sign Intersection. 

On 2/22/11, Michael R. Kehrli, 57, of 852 SR 49, Bernhards Bay, NY, was operating a 2008 Ford eastbound on SR 49 in the Town of Constantia at 5:11 p.m.  He had reportedly stopped and was waiting to make a left turn two miles west of CR 17 when he was rear-ended by an eastbound 2002 Chrysler driven by D. Daniel E. Klebs, 29, of 117 CR 23B, Constantia, NY.  Following too closely appears to have been the contributing factor in the incident for which Mr. Klebs was ticketed. 

On 2/23/11 at 10:52 p.m., Shawn D. Marino, 28, of 403 S. Railroad St., Parish, NY, was arrested for felony Driving While Intoxicated (previous conviction within 10 years), Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and Speed in Zone, following a traffic stop on SR 69 in the Town of Parish.  Mr. Marino was arraigned before the Hon. Terry Crast, Town of Sandy Creek Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond.  He is scheduled to return to court on 3/08/11. 

On 2/24/11 at 2:32 p.m., Kelly L. Dolbear, 31, of 472 Red Schoolhouse Road, Fulton, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended on 12/21/10 for no insurance and on 6/16/10 for failing to pay fees), and Speed Over the State Speed Limit, following a traffic stop on SR 3 in the Town of Volney.  Ms. Dolbear was issued tickets returnable to Town of Volney Court on 3/07/11. 

On 2/25/11 at 7:35 p.m., Jeffrey P. Erskin, 52, of 330 Church St., Hannibal, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (license suspended, four scoffs on three dates:  on 5/08/10 for failure to answer a summons in the Town of Thompson-Sullivan County, two on 3/11/10 for failure to answer a summons in the City of Geneva-Ontario County, and for failure to answer a summons in the Town of Schroeppel), and Insufficient Lighting (only one headlight illuminated) following a traffic stop in the Village of Hannibal.  Mr. Erskin was issued tickets and released.  He is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Hannibal court on 3/08/11. 

On 2/25/11 at 8:48 p.m., Charlene L. Frantz, 34, of 1470 CR 57, Fulton, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (license suspended, four scoffs on four dates: on 8/04/10 for failure to answer a summons in the Town of Vernon-Oneida County, on 1/29/10 for failure to answer a summons in the Town of Vernon-Oneida County, on 10/23/09 for failure to answer a summons in the City of Fulton-Oswego County, on 8/12/09 for failure to pay fine in the Town of Clay-Onondaga County), and Inadequate Lighting (one illuminated headlight), following a traffic stop on SR 481 in the City of Fulton.  Mr. Frantz was released on tickets and is scheduled to appear before Town of Volney Court on 3/28/11 to answer the charges. 

On 2/25/11 at 9:30 p.m. Nathan L. May, 28, of 2925 US Rt. 11, Parish, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended twice on two dates: on 7/18/10 for failure to pay a fine in the Town of Salina-Onondaga County, and on 12/05/09 for Failure to answer a summons in the Town of Hastings), Inadequate Plate Lamp, and Operation While Registration Suspended (insurance lapse on 2/05//11), following a traffic stop on US Rt. 11 in the Town of Mexico. Mr. May was issued tickets returnable to Town of Mexico Court on 3/15/11 and released. 

On 2/25/11, Jeremy D. Guyle, 21, of 120 Kibby Road, Mexico, was operating a 2006 Jeep suburban in a southeasterly direction on CR 18 at 11:12 p.m. when he reportedly rear-ended an eastbound 2001 Buick driven by Valeri L. Roshau, 41, of PO Box 15, Minetto. The incident occurred 100 feet north of CR 33. The impact caused the Buick to strike the mailbox at 162 CR 18.  Following too closely and slippery pavement appear to have been contributing factors in the incident.  Roads were reportedly covered with snow and ice at the time.  Mr. Guyle was ticketed for Following Too Closely. 

On 2/26/11 at 3:00 a.m., Damion M. White, 30, of 2908 Court St., Syracuse, NY, was arrested based on a bench warrant issued by Town of Hannibal Court after being detained by a member of the NYSP-Oneida.  Charges in the warrant are Grand Larceny, Third Degree, a class D felony, and Grand Larceny, Fourth Degree, a class E felony, stemming from an incident that occurred on 6/18/10 when he was accused of taking a victim’s purse and automobile without her permission from her Town of Hannibal residence. Mr. White was arraigned before the Hon. Eugene Hafner, Town of Hannibal Court, and released on his own recognizance.  He will return to court at a later date. 

On 2/26/11 at 10:45 a.m., Charles A. Collura, 38, of 411 Leitch St., Fulton, NY, was arrested based on a Family Court Warrant charging him with violating Article IV of the Family Court Act (failure to pay support). Mr. Collura was arraigned before the Hon. Patricia Kerfien, Town of Volney Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.  He is scheduled to appear before Oswego County Family Court on 2/28/11. 

On 2/26/11 at 11:31 a.m., Charles W. Dumas, Jr., 20, of 131 Crandell Road, Hannibal, NY, was arrested for Petit Larceny and Making a Punishable False Written Statement, both class A misdemeanors, stemming from a complaint from his bank that he had falsely reported to them that unauthorized charges had been made to his checking account.  Mr. Dumas was issued appearance tickets returnable to Town of Hannibal Court on 3/08/11. 

On 2/26/11 at 2:33 p.m., Jennifer G. LeVea, 29, of 63 N. Third St., Fulton, NY, was arrested at the Fulton Police Department based on two warrants, one issued by Oswego County Family Court, and one issued by Oswego City Court.  Ms. LeVea was arraigned before Town of Volney Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.  She is scheduled to appear before Oswego City Court on 3/01/11 and before Oswego County Family Court on 2/28/11. 
 
On 2/27/11 at 8:40 a.m., Barbara L. Bird, 32, of 210 Dexler St., Liverpool, was charged with Operation Without Registration (insurance lapse on 2/20/11) and Speed Over the State Speed Limit following a traffic stop on SR 481 in the Town of Volney.  Ms. Bird was issued traffic tickets and released. She is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Volney Court on 3/14/11. 

On 2/27/11 at 1:25 p.m., Michael R. LaVoy, 21, of 7521 Butternut Dr., Port Byron, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (license suspended/revoked ten times, eight on five dates:  revoked on 2/24/09 for driving while ability impaired by alcohol, suspensions on 4/28/09 for failure to pay driver responsibility assessment, 3/26/10 for failure to answer a summons T/O Granby four times, 11/12/09 for failure to pay a fine in the Town of Oswego, 2/12/09 for failure to answer a summons in the City of Fulton, 10/13/08 for failure to answer a summons in the City Oswego, and on 9/13/08 for failure to answer a summons in the Town of Brutus-Cayuga County), and Inadequate Directional Signals (broken left rear turn signal), following a traffic stop on Rathburn Road at SR 3 in the Town of Granby. Mr. LaVoy was arraigned before the Hon. Bruce Wells, Town of Granby Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200 cash bail or $500 bail bond.  He is scheduled to return to court on 3/10/11. 

On 2/27/11 at 6:32 p.m., Courtney L. Bradley, 17, of 2382 CR 22, Altmar, was arrested for Forgery, Second Degree, a class D felony, and Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, after being accused of stealing checks from a Town of Orwell resident and cashing them at a business located in Altmar. Ms. Bradley was arraigned before Town of Albion Court and released on her own recognizance.  She is scheduled to return to court on 3/21/11.
