Watertown Police Department:

Rennel K. Crayton, 21, of 26283 Falcon Lane, Evans Mills, was charged by Watertown police at 3:14 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of N. Massey Street with second-degree obstruction of government administration. He refused orders to exit his vehicle during a traffic stop and had to be escorted out, police said. "While outside his vehicle the defendant prevented officers from further conducting their investigation when he refused to allow officers conduct tests on him and struggled with officers while they were attempting to pat down his person for weapons," police wrote. He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $500 police bail pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.

Kyle R. Merryman, 20, of 10614 5th Armored Div. Dr., Apt. 215, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police at 2:30 a.m. Saturday at 26000 Route 3, town of LeRay, with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a personal-injury accident, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and failure to stop at a red light.

Police said Mr. Merryman was eastbound on Factory Street in a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup truck approaching a red light at the intersection of High Street at about 2:14 a.m. Saturday when James D. Wilkins, 20, Fort Drum, was making a left turn from High Street onto Factory Street in a 2010 Chevrolet sedan. Mr. Merryman traveled through the red light and struck the driver's side of the sedan, police said. He left the accident scene and continued east on Huntington Street and was later stopped on Route 3 in the town of LeRay, according to an accident report.

Mr. Wilkins was taken by Guilfoyle Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center complaining of pain to the left side of his chest, police said. Four other passengers in the sedan, Kelvin Harrison, 28, Tiffany K. Glowacki, 31, Andres A. Heredia, 23, and David Blakely, 22, all declined medical attention, police said.

Mr. Merryman and his four passengers, Cody Simmons, 20, Robert O. Johnson, 19, Matthew J. Mattrick, and Stev Franco-Montanez, 21, also were not injured, according to an accident report. Police said chuka sticks were located in the back seat of Merryman's pickup truck resulting in a weapon charge.

His blood alcohol content was not listed on police papers provided to the media.

Mr. Merryman was released to military custody and summoned to appear July 2 in City court.

She is accused of receiving $2,320 in food stamp benefits which she was not entitled between March 1, 2012, and Oct. 31, 2012, and failed to report her receipt of child support on documents on Sept. 24, 2012, according to court documents. Ms. VanDusen was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.
