Jefferson County Sheriff's Department:

Michael J. Pender, 37, of 20441 Hadcock Rd., Watertown, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 4 p.m. Saturday on Main Street in Theresa with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right following a motorcycle accident. Deputies said Mr. Pender turned left off of Alex Bay Road onto Main Street when he lost control of his motorcycle, crossed the center yellow line, skidded across the pavement and struck a guardrail at about 3:25 p.m. Saturday. He was "tended to by medical personnel at the scene but refused further medical treatment," deputies said. His blood alcohol content was 0.08 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Mr. Pender is summoned to appear June 6 in Theresa Village Court.



Watertown Police Department: 

Katie L. Dixon
, 23, of 134 Central St., Apt. 113, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 6:55 p.m. Sunday at her residence with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. She is accused of damaging carpeting, a door and clothing in an apartment she shared with John R. Hill at about 8:30 a.m. April 25, police said. She was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Monday morning in City Court.

Demontray A. McKelvey
, 21, of 10648 5th Armored Div. Dr., Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police at 10:43 a.m. Sunday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. He is accused of kicking the front passenger side fender of a 2008 Honda CRV causing an estimated $991.60 in damage at about 2:15 a.m. May 12 in the 500 block of W. Main Street, police said. The car belongs to Brittany R. Dudley, 8711 Noble St., Evans Mills. He was released to military custody and summoned to appear May 31 in City Court.

Christopher J. Beardmore, 23, of 623 Burlington St., upper apt., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 12:08 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Gaffney Drive with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, leaving the scene of auto accident, two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, following too closely, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a vehicle on a suspended registration and third-degree falsely reporting an incident. He is accused of reporting to police at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at 311 W. Main St. that his 1999 Chevrolet Silverado "was stolen when the vehicle had in fact not been stolen," police said. Mr. Beardmore allegedly drove his truck at "a high rate of speed following Shannon C. Casler, Dexter, while she was driving in her car with Courtney L. Jobson, Watertown, causing an accident in which he rear-ended Casler's 2006 Ford sedan," at about 3 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Duffy Street, police said. No injuries were reported. Ms. Jobson holds a refrain-from Family Court order of protection against Mr. Beardmore, according to court documents. He was arraigned before City Judge Eugene R. Renzi who sent him to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with bail set at $4,000 cash.
