Police Blotter Report:

Jefferson County Sheriff's Department:

Roger C. Cook
, 60, Barstow, Calif., was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 3:27 p.m. Saturday on Route 26 in the town of Alexandria with driving while intoxicated, unsafe backing and consumption of alcohol in a vehicle following an accident. Deputies said Mr. Cook pulled into the parking lot JK's Roadhouse Motel, 24818 Route 26, town of Alexandria, at about 2:54 p.m. Saturday in a 2001 Dodge pickup truck and struck a chair. He then backed up and knocked over a parked 2004 Yamaha motorcycle belonging to David L. Harris, Theresa, according to an accident report. No injuries were reported. Two witnesses were standing next to the motorcycle at the time of the incident, deputies said. Mr. Cook refused a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content. He is summoned to appear in Alexandria Town Court. 






Watertown Police Department:


Robert E. Rivera, 22, 505 Washington St., Apt. 22, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:10 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Washington Street with third-degree assault. Mr. Rivera is accused of punching Chantelle R. Evans, Watertown, in her head and face with a closed fist causing a concussion and swollen nose at about 2:00 a.m. July 9 in the 300 block of High Street, police said. He was released after posting $500 police bail and summoned to appear July 26 in City Court. 

Michael S. Edbon, 50, of 531 Emerson St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:21 p.m. Saturday at his residence with second-degree harassment, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana. Mr. Ebdon is accused of grabbing Melissa S. Pierce, 537 Olive St., by her left arm and squeezed it while she was holding a 6-month-old girl and attempted to take the child from her arms during a domestic dispute at about 8 p.m. Saturday in his home, police said. He is also accused of preventing Ms. Pierce and the child from a bedroom by locking a door and placing a reclining chair with him sitting in it against a door, they said. After being told he was under arrest, Mr. Ebdon allegedly grabbed onto a chair and refused to stand up to be handcuffed, according to court documents. A baggie containing marijuana was found in his pants pocket during a search, police said. He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.

James L. Pierce, 18, of 537 Olive St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:23 p.m. Saturday at 531 Emerson St. with disorderly conduct. It is alleged Mr. Pierce attempted to fight Michael S. Ebdon during a domestic incident between Mr. Ebdon and Melissa S. Pierce in the middle of Emerson Street, police said. Mr. Pierce was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $100 police bail pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court. 

Joseph P. Finn, 52, of 105 W. Hamilton St., Sackets Harbor, was cited by Watertown police at 5:40 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Arsenal Street with unlawful possession of marijuana. He is summoned to appear July 22 in City Court. 

Sandra L. Nielsen, 37, of 26033 Bonney Rd., Watertown, was cited by Watertown police at 3:33 p.m. Saturday at 622 Bronson St. with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and using a mobile phone while driving. She is summoned to appear July 25 in City Court.
