ALEXANDRA BAY, NY — R. Troy Harter, 50, Alexandria Bay, passed away early Saturday morning, Aug. 25, 2018 in the town of Pamelia.
The funeral service will be 7 pm Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, 632 State St., Watertown with Rev. Leon “Toby” Schilling officiating. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral.
Troy is survived by his father, Robert Harter, Watertown, his mother Karen (Donald) Reid, Sackets Harbor; his sister Kris (Patrick) Conners, Adams; his nieces, Leah, Libby and Alaina Conners, Adams.
Born June 7, 1968, in Watertown, he was a 1986 graduate of Watertown High School where he played hockey and soccer. Troy played baseball from age 5 through to the Grasshopper League.
He was currently working for the Bonney Castle Yacht Basin in Alexandria Bay at the time of his passing.
He was an avid hunter and all seasons fisherman. He was known for his great sense of humor.
