Rachel Salmon crowned Miss Thousand Islands 2019

CLAYTON, NY — Rachel Salmon is the new Miss Thousand Islands.  She is the daughter of Dwayne and Joanne Salmon of Turin, NY.

The pageant took place on Aug. 11 at the Clayton Opera House in Clayton, NY.

Rachel wowed the judges with interview, on-stage question, lifestyle & fitness, evening gown, and a jazz dance. Her platform is called “Commit to Fit” and it’s all about energizing and empowering others to choose a healthy lifestyle.

Rachel will be promoting her platform, making appearances and also competing at the 2019 Miss New York pageant next summer.

The Miss Thousand Islands Scholarship Competition was formalized in 1965 as an official preliminary to the Miss America Pageant and is the longest running local pageant in New York State.
