Red Cross aids five after fire on Avery Road in Natural Bridge

WATERTOWN, NY – Volunteers from the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to five people after a fire Monday night on Avery Road in Natural Bridge, Jefferson County.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as food and clothing to two adults and three children, ages 6, 5, and 3 months. Volunteers also offered emotional support and comfort kits containing personal care items and stuffed animals for the children. One resident is eligible for active duty military/Veterans’ services.

In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.
