CHAUMONT, NY — Robert A. Harris, 83, Chaumont, passed away Sunday morning, June 24, at Hospice at Ellis Farm in Watertown.
Born July 10, 1934 in the Town of Rutland, the son of Roy and Grace O’Brien Harris, he attended school in Rutland and served a short time in the US Army during the Korean War. He had been married and divorced.
He worked as a yard superintendent at Crown & Zellerback until his retirement.
He was very active in music and could play several instruments and played with several bands in the area.
He is survived by his companion Darle Brower of Chaumont. He has a brother Kenneth Harris of Denver, CO and a half brother Nelson Hamblin of Ocala, FL.
There will be no calling hours or funeral.
