Statement from Bodah family

WATERTOWN, NY — On behalf of their entire family, Kenneth and Beth Bodah wish to thank our community for all its support.

Far too often, we are reminded of how hard and fast tragedy strikes.  But in the face of our recent tragedy, we are also reminded of our community’s strength and compassion.  We cannot thank you enough for your prayers, condolences, and support. We specifically thank our first responders, emergency personnel, medical personnel, the Watertown City School District, clergy, and all the businesses and individuals who helped us during this difficult time.

We thank everyone for their financial support for Hailey.  We promise that all funds entrusted to us will be used solely for Hailey’s benefit.  In the next week we will begin investigating options, such as an irrevocable trust and a 529 Plan, to help secure Hailey’s future.  Also, we will use these tools as a promise that we will protect and responsibly manage these funds solely for Hailey.

We will continue to work with our community to protect, counsel, and provide for Hailey.  We will do everything we can to help her grieve and heal after this tragedy. We will devote our lives to care for Hailey and all her needs.
