WATERTOWN, NY — Steven Williams, 54, Watertown, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, where he had been a patient since Sept. 28.
Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, November 1st from 4 pm – 6 pm at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, with a funeral service at 10 am on Friday November 2nd at the funeral home. Burial will follow in North Watertown Cemetery.
He was born in Santa Monica, CA., the son of Herbert C. and Shirley Monica Williams. Steven graduated from Watertown High School and then went to work for Jefferson-Lewis BOCES as a teacher’s assistant.
Steven married Carol Watson on Feb. 19, 1983, at Holy Family Church, Watertown.
Steven is survived by his wife, Carol, Watertown; a son, Jason Williams, Watertown; a brother, Dale (Denise) Williams, Fla; a sister, Monica (Chris) Pecori, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Susan Burker, four brothers-in-law, John, George (Charlene), Steven and David (Kathy) Watson; his mother-in-law, Marjorie Busler;Â and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Steven was predeceased by a brother, Brian Williams.
Steven enjoyed watching NASCAR, NY Giants, hunting and working on cars.
He took great pride for over 30 years with helping with the Special Olympics and helping children out with special needs.
When he wasn’t helping others out he was spending time with his family that he loved dearly.
