BOONVILLE, NY — State Police are investigating a two-car head-on crash that occurred Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, on State Route 12 in the village of Boonville.
At approximately 5:15pm, State Police responded to State Route 12 in the village of Boonville for a reported head-on crash. The investigation revealed a 2012 Toyota Highlander, operated by Kathryn D. Meyers, age 69, of Boonville along with 10-year-old passenger was traveling north on State Route 12 when she attempted to make a left turn onto State Route 12 and into the path of a 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck that was traveling south on State Route 12.
The driver of the pickup truck, Dennis L. Wickham, age 65 from Stratford, NY along with his passengers Dixie Lee Wickham, age 59, of Stratford, Steven Schlacka, age 52, of Gloversville, and Michael Sabatino, age 68, of St. Johnsville were all transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital and listed in stable condition.
State Police were assisted at the scene by Boonville Fire Department, Oneida County Sheriffs Office, Boonville Police Department, and New York State Parks Police.
