Watertown man accused of assaulting another at tavern

WATERTOWN, NYRobert W. Bush, 39, of 407 Fairview St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with third-degree assault.

Mr. Bush is accused of punching Benjamin Vasi, age not provided by  police, in his jaw causing a deep gash to the underside of his chin and a laceration on the inside of his mouth at about 1:50 a.m. Oct. 27 at Joe’s Tavern, 548 Coffeen St., according to court documents.

He is summoned to appear Dec. 12 in City Court.
