Watertown man charged with aggravated DWI, driving the wrong way on a one-way street

WATERTOWN, NYCedric E. Woods, 31, of 207 Wealtha Ave., Apt 635B, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, in the 500 block of Jefferson Street with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving the wrong way on a one way street and insufficient tail lamps.

His blood alcohol content was 0.19 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

Police said he was held on two City Court warrants pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.
