Two men facing weapon charges

WATERTOWN, NYCervontes-Cortez P. Hardy, 19, of 657 Olive St., apt. 3, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at 1204 Superior St. with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.

Mr. Hardy allegedly possessed an imitation pistol with the intent to use it unlawfully against another person at about 7:24 p.m. Tuesday at 1204 Superior St., Apt. H9, according to court documents. Police said he was previously convicted of a crime on Sept. 21, 2017.

Ryan A. Barbosa, 23, of 1204 Superior St., Apt. H9, was charged at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at his residence with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.

Mr. Barbosa is accused of possessing a steak knife with the inter to use against another person at about 7:24 p.m. Tuesday at 1204 Superior St., according to court documents. Police said he was previously convicted of a crime on April 27, 2018.

He was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, for allegedly possessing 15.41 ounces of marijuana in his bedroom, police said.

Both men were being held pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.
