WATERTOWN, NY — Rebecca A. Hunt, 38, and Matthew R. Smart, 31, both of 627 Hancock St., were each charged by Watertown police at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with endangering the welfare of a child.
Ms. Hunt is accused of antagonizing Mr. Smart, recording him with her phone and failing to intervene while he was physically violent and being restrained by a 14-year-old girl who struck during the outburst at about 10:00 a.m. July 19, 2018, according to court documents.
They are each summoned to appear Feb. 27 in City Court.
