Watertown Saturday Farmers’ Market to Open for the Season

WATERTOWN, NY — The Watertown Saturday Farmers’ Market will open for the 2018 season on June 2. It will again be Downtown in the Mayor Joseph M. Butler Pavilion located in the J.B. Wise Parking Lot at 175 Black River Parkway. The Market will be open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm each Saturday through October 27.

The market is easy to access via Black River Parkway from Coffeen Street or Mill Street. The J.B. Wise Parking Lot can also be entered from Public Square or the Court Street Parking Lot. There is plenty of free parking and customers shop under the protection of the pavilion.

The market features locally grown fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, honey, maple syrup, plants, flowers, and baked goods, as well as locally produced arts and crafts. Returning vendors will include Al’s Gardens, Tickle The Earth Farm, Farmers Wife Creations and Greenhouse, Worth Gold Farm, Naturally Yours Honey, Wyn-De-Elm Farm, Greens-n-More, Cherie’s Gardens and Meekestead Farm. New farm vendors are expected and more arts and crafts will be added.

Stony Creek Country Store will be returning to the market with their baked goods after a hiatus of several years. Customers who miss being able to get their treats on Wednesday can now come to the Saturday Market to get them.

New this year will be food available for eating on-site. Worth Gold Farm will be selling hickory smoked pork sandwiches directly from their smoker. City Dawgz will also be selling hot dogs and sausages.
