WATERTOWN, NY — Sherry A. Ayen, 53, of 24979 Road 416, Dexter, was charged by Watertown police at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Watertown Shopping Plaza, 1328 Washington St., with aggravated driving while intoxicated and unsafe backing.
Her blood alcohol content was 0.23 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.
Ms. Ayen is summoned to appear Aug. 28 in City Court.
