2 men accused of stealing generator from Savory Downtown food trailer

WATERTOWN, NY —  Two men were arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly stealing a generator from a Savory Downtown food trailer in the Best Western parking lot, 300 Washington St., according to the Watertown Police Department.

Joseph M. Cimineri, 33, of 27943 Rogers Road, Evans Mills, and Travis C. Snyder, 34, of 120 Charles St., were both arrested at 12:55 p.m. Friday at 120 Charles St. and each charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Police allege both men damaged a propane line to an enclosed trailer and stole a Winco brand generator valued at approximately $4,800 at about 11:45 a.m. Friday, according to to court documents.

Both men were arraigned at 3:00 p.m. Friday in City Court. Mr. Cimineri was ordered held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building without bail. Mr. Snyder was released on his own recognizance.

City DPW assisted police in transporting the generator from Charles Street back to Savory Downtown.
