22-year-old Albany man critically injured after snowmobile accident in Lewis County, deputies say

LOWVILLE, NY — On Jan. 1, 2020, at approximately 6:16 p.m., the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle snowmobile accident on Smith Road / Trail #C7B n the town of West Turin along with the Constableville Fire Department.

Through investigation, it was determined that the snowmobile operator, Christopher M. Lysogorksi, 22, Albany, was traveling northbound when he collided head-on with a large tree limb which had fallen across the entire trail. Lysogorksi was ejected from his snowmobile.

He was transported to Lewis County General Hospital and later to SUNY Upstate Hospital with critical injuries.
