CANTON, NY — On November 18. 2022, the New York State Police Computer Crime Unit- Troop B arrested Jeremy T. Dissottle, 27, Canton, NY, for Promotion of a Sexual Performance by a Child and Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child.
In June 2022, State Police responded to Ellis Road in the town of Canton for a report of someone accessing child sexual abuse material over the Internet, troopers said.
The investigation determined Dissottle had obtained and viewed child sexual abuse material, troopers said.
Dissottle was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Potsdam Court for December 7, 2022.
The New York State Police were assisted by Homeland Security Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Investigation is still continuing.
