604 envelopes of heroin seized in raid of Clayton apartment, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  The Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force released the following statement on April 23:

“On 04/20/21, at approximately 11:30 am, members of the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 100 Joseph Lonsway, apt 114A, in the Village of Clayton. This address has been the focus of a several month drug investigation.

When entry was made, two females and two males occupied the apartment. The scene and occupants were secured without incident.

At the conclusion of the search, 604 glassine envelopes containing heroin, approximately 8 grams of a substance believed to be synthetic narcotics, approximately 8.5 grams of an unknown substance, 3 digital scales, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, and $1,873.00 in US currency were seized.

Members of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol and SERT, Watertown Police SRT, K-9 and ID units, and the Village of Clayton PD assisted the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force.

This is an on-going investigation.

Arrests and charges are pending further investigation.”
