WATERTOWN, NY — Kathleen E. Babcock, 30, of 12985 US Route 11, Adams Center, was charged by Watertown police at 4:24 a.m. Saturday, June 15, in the 1000 block of Arsenal Street with first-degree operation of a motor vehicle while ability impaired by drugs and unsafe lane change.
Ms. Babcock was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building for processing where she swallowed her tongue stud, police said. She was taken to Samaritan Medical Center by Guilfoyle Ambulance for treatment and provided a blood sample, police said.
She is summoned to appear June 26 in City Court.
