ALEXANDRIA BAY, NY — On March 16, 2021, State Police arrested Patrick M. Belden, age 37, from 38 Walton Street, Apt. 5, Alexandria Bay, NY, for the following charges:

Burglary 1st degree, class “B” felony

Kidnapping 2nd degree, class “B” felony

Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, class “A” misdemeanor

Assault 2nd degree, class “D” felony

Strangulation 2nd degree, class “D” felony

Criminal Mischief 4th degree, class “A” misdemeanor

Menacing 2nd degree, class “A” misdemeanor
Belden is accused of unlawfully entering a neighbor’s apartment with a baseball bat and forcing the 49-year-old male victim out of his apartment and to the building’s basement, where he assaulted him with the bat, troopers said.
The victim was transported to River Hospital in Alexandria Bay, where he was treated and released.
Beldon was arraigned in the city of Watertown Court and remanded to the Jefferson County jail on $15,000 cash bail / $75,000 bond.
