WATERTOWN, NY — Alice A. Illingworth, 80, of Old Rome State Road passed away Wednesday morning at Summit Village, Watertown. She had resided at nursing homes for the past ten years.
Born May 2, 1938, in Croghan, the daughter of Percy and Frances Bush Scott, she graduated from Fr. Lee Memorial School in Croghan.
She married Robert J. Illingworth on July 24, 1957, in Roswell, New Mexico. Robert passed away in 1992.
Alice was a homemaker at the Old Rome State Road residence for many years.
Surviving are six children : Darrell Illingworth of Watertown, Richard Illingworth of Watertown, Terrance and Hillary Illingworth of N. Carolina, Roger and Annette Mott of Watertown, Chris and Michelle Kittleson of Watertown and Albert and Rebecca Guarino of Perch River; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters include Marie Nortz of Mohawk, NY, Paul Scott of Utica, Joan Kimmis of Chaumont, Rosemary Mills of Glens Falls and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sons Emmitt Illingworth, Robert Illingworth and Brothers Bernard Scott, Leonard Scott and Richard Scott.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday Dec. 29, at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral.
