Alice C. Koss, 60, Turin

TURIN, NY – Alice C. Koss, 60, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, February 10, 2019, at her home.

Born Sept. 14, 1958, in Somerville, NJ, the daughter of the late Eric and Alice Snyder Sohn, she graduated in June of 1976 from N. Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, NJ.

Alice married Edward A. Koss on November 6, 1976 in Quakertown, NJ.

Surviving are her husband Edward, sons, Eddie Koss of Bangor, PA; Jeffrey Koss (Tonya Maning, Ryan Sturtevant and Camryn Ely) of Lyons Falls; and her beloved dog Bear.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, and her brother, Gus Sohn.

Alice retired from Hunterdon Developmental Center in Clinton, NJ in 2009. She moved with her husband to their present address on the Gomer Hill Road, where she loved gardening, canning, and taking care of the many farm animals on their family farm. She loved cruising with her girlfriends, crocheting and playing cards.

Alice and Ed are leaders of the Lewis County 4H Beef Club and she loved working with the kids showing cattle at the Lewis County Fair.

She will be sorely missed by her husband, sons and many family friends.

A memorial of her life will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Timberview Resort, Carpenter Road, for family and friends.
