WATERTOWN, NY — Angeline A. Sparacino, 90, Watertown, passed away Friday afternoon, Feb. 1, 2019, at Samaritan Keep Home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at St. Anthony’s Church with Rev. Donald Robinson presiding. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.
Born May 9, 1928, in Watertown, a daughter of Benedetto and Catherine D. Bartolo Augliano, she was a graduate of Watertown High School.
She married Vincent C. Sparacino in September 1953. He passed on Feb. 13, 1977.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and volunteered at its school.
She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, cooking, baking, and especially spending time with her family.
Angeline is survived by her three children, Mary C. Gebo and husband, David, Watertown, Vincent G. Sparacino and his partner, Katharine Tufo, Lake Placid, and Benjamin J. Sparacino, Honeoye Falls; five grandchildren, Vincent Gebo, David Gebo and wife, Chrissy, Vincent Sparacino, Christian Sparacino and wife, Amanda, and Nicholas Sparacino; two great grandchildren, Noah and Lucas Gebo; sister-in-law, Jean Augliano, Carthage; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A daughter-in-law, Barbara M. Sparacino died on May 14, 2017. She was also predeceased by five brothers, Nick, Jack, Joe, Louie, and Jimmy Augliano, and two sisters, Mary Darling and Jennie Hathaway, died before her.
Angeline’s family would like to thank the Samaritan Keep Home’s Sixth Floor staff and her home caregivers, Audrey and Janice, for their care and devotion to their mother.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to St. Anthony’s Church, 850 Arsenal St., or Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., both in Watertown, NY 13601.
