WATERTOWN, NY — Antonette C. “Ann” (Marra) Stowell, 91, formerly of Stone Street, Watertown, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at the Samaritan Keep Home where she had been a resident.
Born Sept. 7, 1927, a daughter of Philip and Elizabeth Messina Marra, she attended Boon Street School and graduated from Watertown High School.
Mrs. Stowell was employed with the New York Telephone Company, Neisners Department Store and Ames Department Store as a payroll clerk. She retired in 1992.
Mrs. Stowell was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church, a member of the Italian American Civic Association Ladies Auxiliary and the Northside Improvement League Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed knitting, jigsaw puzzles and bingo.
Surviving are a son, Ralph (Lori) Stowell, Virginia, his sons, Jason (Julia) Stowell, Justin Stowell, Christopher Stowell; a daughter, Kathy (Tony) Christopher, Illinois, their son, Joe Edwards and his children, Nick, Marissa,and Alexa Edwards, their daughter, Jennifer Edwards Little and her son Blake Little; two brothers, Anthony “ Freck’s” (Phyllis) Marra, Watertown, Peter (Barbara) Marra, Yonkers, NY; a sister, Frances (Dick) Green; a niece, Mary Frances Coppola; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Ann’s five grandchildren and four great grandchildren dearly loved and will forever miss their “Nonny”.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church with Rev. Christopher Looby officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
