Area leaders endorse David Renzi for Jefferson County Court judge

WATERTOWN, NY — The David Renzi campaign released the following statement on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019:

Area leaders are endorsing Judge David Renzi to become the next Jefferson County Court Judge.

On November 5th, or during early voting, they are urging voters to support Judge Renzi, who they say is the most qualified candidate for the position.

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik said, “Judge Renzi’s extensive legal and judicial experience make him the best choice for Jefferson County Judge. His commitment to the law and our Constitutional rights will serve the people of Jefferson county well, and I am proud to endorse him for election on November 5.”

State Senator Patty Ritchie said, “I have known Judge Renzi for years, and can think of no one more qualified or invested in their community than him to serve in the important role of Jefferson County Court Judge. Judge Renzi has the experience and character to to uphold the law and serve our area with integrity. I am proud to endorse Judge Renzi and on November 5, I encourage all voters to join me in supporting him.”

Assemblyman Will Barclay said, “As a lifelong Jefferson County resident, Judge Renzi is invested in his community. That fact, combined with his excelling as a prosecutor, defender and a judge make him the best choice for our next Jefferson County Judge. I encourage all voters to cast their ballot in support of Judge Renzi on November 5.”

Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush said, “I am pleased to endorse Judge David Renzi. I have known David for 20 years. He has common sense. He works incredibly hard. Judge Renzi is a talented attorney, a fair jurist and a North Country native who cares deeply about making our community safer, stronger and more dynamic. He’s experienced and uniquely qualified. I am voting for him, and I hope you will too.”

Assemblyman Mark Walczyk said, “I’ve had the privilege of knowing Dave Renzi for more than a decade.  He’s an honest, hardworking family man with roots in our community.  While he’s an accomplished attorney and an acting judge, I’m more proud to call him my friend. I fully endorse Dave Renzi for Jefferson County Court Judge.  He’ll bring integrity to the bench and uphold our values, keeping the North County a great place to live work and raise a family for years to come.”

Judge Renzi has previously served in the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, as Jefferson County’s Chief Public Defender, as a Watertown City Court Judge, and as a Town of Watertown Justice. He is a Jefferson County native, a hunter, and a registered NRA member, so he understands the need to uphold our Second Amendment rights to own firearms. From years of experience practicing law in Jefferson County, Judge Renzi has developed excellent legal judgement and close ties with his community.
