Aubrey R. Veley, 85, Ellisburg

ELLISBURG, NY —  Aubrey (Aub) Rex Veley 85, Ellisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by family.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, in Ellisburg Cemetery.

There will be no public calling hours.

Born July 4, 1935, he was the youngest son of the late Rex and Mina Loomis Veley.

Mr. Veley established a successful milk hauling business, Veley’s Tankers and hauled for over 50 years.

He loved living in the village of Ellisburg his entire life. He enjoyed spending time with his family throughout the year. During his retirement, you could find Aub on the many roads of the north country.

He had a love of doughnuts, desserts, Syracuse Men’s basketball, and always a clean vehicle.

He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Dorene, and beloved brothers Lawrence and Donald who were always there for each other.

He is survivied by his two caring daughters, Sue (Rocky) of Adams, Starr (Jeff) Stockwell of Belleville and three grandchildren who he adored Josh, Taylor and Kristin, and was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews.
