Black River man accused of violating order of protection

WATERTOWN, NY —  Andrew A. Wren, 31, of 31091 Deer Trail, Black River, was charged by Watertown police at 1:24 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 108 Stone Dr. in Black River with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

Mr. Wren is accused of violating the terms of an order of protection issued by LeRay Town Justice Covell when he engaged in a phone conversation with the protected party, Kyle Pignone, 40, Watertown, at about 10:54 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.
