Black River woman’s BAC was 0.36 percent, Watertown police say

WATERTOWN, NY — Samantha A. Morrison, 34, of 30204 Route 3, Black River, was charged by Watertown police at 2:44 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, in the 100 block of Mill Street with aggravated driving while intoxicated, expired inspection and failure to stop at a red light.

Her blood alcohol content was 0.36 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

She is summoned to appear Jan. 23 in City Court.
