Bright Beginnings preschool student tests positive for COVID-19

WATERTOWN, NY —  The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence’s (www.thearcjslc.org), announced that their Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center received confirmation that a student tested positive for COVID-19. The program’s management team is working in collaboration with Jefferson County Public Health, which is currently performing the contact tracing process pursuant to their protocols.

Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center will move to remote learning for the upcoming week out of an abundance of caution to minimize spread of the virus. There will be no face-to-face instruction or care until Dec. 7.

Teachers will contact each family on Monday, Nov. 30, to discuss details.

This hiatus will allow the team the time required to complete a deep clean of the school. The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence is sharing this news in an effort to be completely transparent, however the agency is required to protect privacy rights of students and staff.

No additional information will be released related to this matter.
