Calcium man facing weapon charge after incident in Watertown, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  The Watertown Police Department released the following statement:

“On 11/11/2020 at 2:36 p.m., members of the Uniformed Patrol Division and Criminal Investigation Division investigated a weapon offense at 284 E. Main St. in the city of Watertown.

Walter D. Conway III was accused of possessing a loaded sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun.

Mr. Conway, 39, of 24428 US Route 11, Lot 48, Calcium, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony.

He was arraigned in Watertown City Court. He was remanded to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.”
