Carthage man accused of stealing vehicle, possessing precursors for meth

CARTHAGE, NY —  Joshua C. LaLone, 31, of 713 Alexandria St., Carthage, was charged by Carthage police at 11:42 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, on West End Avenue with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, a felony.

He is accused of stealing a 2003 Jeep Wrangler at about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday at 421 Budd St., according to court documents.

He was also allegedly found in possession of a Pseudeoephedrine Hydrochloride and lithium batteries “with the intent to use the aforementioned items to unlawfully manufacture methemphetamine,” at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Carthage Police Department, according to court documents.

Mr. LaLone is ordered to appear Dec. 28 in Carthage Village Court.
