WATERTOWN, NY — Charlotte A. Raymond, 76, of County Route 62, Watertown, passed away March 27, 2019, at the Hospice at Ellis Farm, Watertown.
Charlotte was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Mayfield, Kentucky the daughter of Schuyler and Racine Alexander Colwell. She graduated from Sackets Harbor High School.
She worked as a housekeeper until she married William F. Raymond on July 2, 1966, at the United Presbyterian Church in Sackets Harbor.
After her marriage she helped her husband with wood crafting and small gas engine repairs and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. William passed away May 22, 2010.
She is survived by three sisters, Sandra R. Colwell and Nancy J. Colwell of Sulphur Springs, and Beverly J. Wright, Clearwater, Florida; a sister-in-law, Muriel Bickom of Brewerton; a brother-in-law, Lyle Raymond of Groton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, at the United Presbyterian Church in Sackets Harbor with Rev. Leon “Toby” Schilling officiating. Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
