WATERTOWN, NY — Joshua J. Pierce, 31, of 11341 Circle Dr., Apt. 2, Chaumont, was charged by Watertown police at 1:17 a.m. Sunday, June 23, in the 200 block of Wealtha Avenue with aggravated driving while intoxicated and unsafe turn / failure to signal.
His blood alcohol content was 0.23 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.
Mr. Pierce is summoned to appear July 17 in City Court.
