WATERTOWN, NY — Derrick J. Nier, 24, Clayton, was charged by state police with first-degree rape, a class “B” felony and second-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a class “A” misdemeanor.
Nier is accused of forcing a 23-year-old female into sexual intercourse on Jan. 13, 2019, in the village of Clayton and providing a false statement to investigator, troopers said.
Nier was arraigned in the village of Clayton Court and was remanded to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building in lieu of $20,000 cash bail/$40,000 bond.
