Clayton woman accused of driving drunk with 2 child passengers, resisting arrest

WATERTOWN, NY —  Jamie L. Quednau, 33, of 100 Rivershore Dr., Clayton, was charged by Watertown police at 8:09 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the Stateway Plaza, 1222 Arsenal St., with two counts of felony aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.

Ms. Quednau is accused of operating a 2017 Jeep south through the parking lot of the plaza while in an intoxicated condition with a 7-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy as passengers at about 7:14 p.m. Tuesday at Moe’s Southwest Grill, 1222 Arsenal St., police said.

Police allege she prevented them from “effecting an authorized arrest on her person,” according to court documents.

Police said she refused a breath test to determine her blood alcohol content.

She is summoned to appear Nov. 12 in City Court.
