WATERTOWN, NY — New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police Officers (ECOs) are offering youth ages 12 to 15 an opportunity to hunt turkey with the officers this spring at the 10th anniversary youth turkey hunt. The hunt is a two-day event with an educational day, held at the Sackets Harbor Sportsman’s Club. The youth hunt begins at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, and the hunt day is Saturday, April 20.
Interested youth hunters must possess a New York State small game license and valid turkey tags. The event is free to the participants and all equipment will be provided if necessary.
