DEC announces results of St. Lawrence County youth turkey hunt

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Environmental Conservation Police Officers (ECOs) in St. Lawrence County recently partnered with the Massena Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) to offer youth ages 12 to 15 the opportunity to hunt turkey in April. Thirteen young people participated with seven birds taken.

DEC thanks the New York Conservation Officers Association (NYCOA); Borderline Longbeards Chapter NWTF; Massena Rod and Gun Club; Northern Mechanical Incorporated; St. Lawrence Archery; Potsdam Elks Club; Mountain Hollow Game Calls; Walmart; Tractor Supply; Bicknell Building Supply, and the volunteer mentors and parents that attended.
